Chris Grollnek is the Chairman of the Board and Founding Principal of the Active Shooter Prevention Project, LLC (ASPP™), which he founded in 2011, and the creator of the P.R.O. Model™, Prevention. Response. Options. The P.R.O. Model™ was selected by the Department of Justice as "A" national standard for the Assistant United States Attorneys and across the department, and is in use at some installations and commands across the Department of Defense. Former U.S. Marine and retired police detective corporal. Chris was on scene as a responding officer during the 2010 active shooter attack on the McKinney, Texas Public Safety Building, and he refocused his graduate work on the active shooter phenomenon, earning a master's degree in the administration of justice and security. He has testified before the House Ways and Means Committee and in Senate testimony convened by Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, briefed the National Security Council, served as the NFL's active shooter prevention coordinator for Super Bowl LVIII and Super Bowl LIX, and has delivered more than 1,500 speaking engagements and more than 1,200 television interviews. At GSIS he advises clients on prevention-first security strategy, threat assessment, and layered detection.
