Maura Reilly is an Analyst at GSIS. Ms. Reilly graduated Magna Cum Laude from Dickinson College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Archaeology, and Spanish. At Dickinson, she conducted a semester-long independent research project on the ongoing nationalist movement in Catalonia. While working toward her undergraduate degrees, Ms. Reilly completed her archaeological fieldwork at a medieval monastic site in Ireland. She also lived in Spain where she studied political geography, and Spanish culture and politics.
Prior to joining GSIS, Ms. Reilly worked in Pennsylvania State Senator Haywood’s district office. In this role she conducted legislative research, engaged the community at outreach events, assisted with constituent servicing, and oversaw the office’s summer internship program.
Ms. Reilly also previously worked at the U.S. Army War College where she conducted research on identifying and targeting facilitators of transnational organized crime and terrorist organizations. Her research included case studies on antiquities trafficking through Syria and human trafficking through Spain to identify the key nodes in these networks and develop early warning indicators of illicit activity.
