In May 2016, former Director of the US Secret Service and GSIS Principal, Mark Sullivan, joined Uber’s Safety Advisory Board as part of the company’s initiative to address security and safety issues. The Safety Advisory Board pools members’ collective expertise and advises Uber on proactive and comprehensive practices that ensure the safety of its drivers and passengers.  Director Sullivan has extensive background in criminal investigations, threat assessment, risk management consultation, technology deployment, IT modernization, security training and executive protection.  He previously chaired a US Department of State-sponsored security panel, which sought to identify the best security practices when operating in high threat areas.  Director Sullivan looks forward to putting his background to work to protect Uber’s growing customer and employee base.
