Grace Hochstatter, a Senior Associate at GSIS, conducts comprehensive research and assists in business development for the firm. Ms. Hochstatter received her Masters degree in Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Graduating with Merit, Ms. Hochstatter specialized in international law and counterterrorism and completed a dissertation on US foreign policy and terrorist support networks.
Prior to joining the GSIS team, Ms. Hochstatter worked in public relations where she helped execute client corporate reputation management and crisis communication strategy. Working closely with international organizations in both the private and non-profit sector, Ms. Hochstatter generated positive media coverage and managed online and social media platforms for her firm’s largest clients.
Ms. Hochstatter conducted intensive quantitative and qualitative research for the UK’s Centre for Armed Violence Reduction, assembling extensive reports for Academics and members of the Press. Partnering with the Rwandan government and Aegis Trust, an atrocity prevention organization, Ms. Hochstatter spearheaded a grassroots communications and awareness campaign encompassing Europe. A former intern with U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley, Grace gained exposure to legislative processes and assisted with office communications and constituency outreach.
Ms. Hochstatter graduated Cum Laude from the Robert D. Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon, completing a degree in Communications and Political Science. Her thesis, awarded a distinction, focused on globalization, diplomacy and the UK’s global influence.
