Peter O’Keefe is a professional in the financial services industry, an advisor to both privately owned & publicly traded companies and an advisor to one of our nation's leading cyber-security consulting companies. He is an investor in and developer of renewable energy projects and is a recognized national political operative who served as a liaison to the business community in the Clinton White House.
Mr. O’Keefe is an advisor to the private equity firm Paladin Capital Group, an investment fund focused on advanced security technologies. He is an advisor to Good Harbor Security Risk Management, a leading consultancy counseling government leaders, corporate executives and investment professionals on strategies to mitigate cyber related threats. Mr. O’Keefe consults for numerous companies involved in financial services, infrastructure, technology and Big Data seeking guidance on the intersection between capital markets and governments through his company Capital Management International. He is an investor in renewable energy projects through his own company, Greenvale Ventures and serves on the Board of Directors for Leaf Clean Energy, a publicly traded fund making investments in clean energy companies and technologies. He serves on the Board of Directors for RegScan Corporation, which specializes in online regulatory compliance.
In the area of national politics, Mr. O’Keefe has worked on more than a dozen political campaigns, beginning his career as a political operative on the Clinton for President campaign of 1992. Currently he serves as the National Treasurer for the Democratic Governors Association and in 2013 he played a leading role in the successful election of his longtime friend, Terry McAuliffe, as the 72nd Governor of Virginia.
From 2005-2009, Mr. O’Keefe served as Senior Managing Director for Marketing at Carret Asset Management, LLC, a privately-owned investment advisory firm founded by the legendary investor Philip L. Carret.
From 2001-2005, Mr. O’Keefe served as the Senior Advisor to the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Mr. O’Keefe’s main focus was on developing and advising the national committee on strategic planning while overseeing a $30 million dollar capital campaign which transformed the national party headquarters and operations.
Prior to joining the staff of the DNC, Mr. O’Keefe served as the Director of Major Donor Development for the William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation.
From 1996 – 1998, Mr. O’Keefe served on The White House staff and spearheaded the Administrations efforts to coordinate with the business community to pass key sections of the Clinton Economic Program.
He holds degrees from Marist College and the London School of Economics.
He with his wife Sara and their two children reside in Washington, DC.
